Inteplast Group recently acquired STA, LLC, in Rogersville, Tennessee, and renamed the company STA Coated Technologies.

STA is now part of Inteplast’s BOPP Films business unit within the AmTopp Division to expand capabilities into custom coatings.

Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

STA, with its staff of 40, produces high-performance adhesive tapes and applies sustainable aqueous adhesives and primer coatings.

STA’s Chief Operating Officer Will Smith remains with STA Coated Technologies as part of its leadership team. Smith will work with Homer Hsieh, president of AmTopp, and Paul Marquard, vice president and general manager of BOPP Films, to ensure a smooth transition.

“Inteplast BOPP is dedicated to expanding its product innovation and material research to meet the evolving market demands,” Hsieh says. “The addition of STA’s capabilities and capacity will further enhance our existing offerings.”

Paul Marquard, vice president and general manager of BOPP Films, notes that STA Coated Technologies’ portfolio advances Inteplast’s goals for product line extensions and supports customers’ evolving needs.

Established in 1991, Inteplast Group is an integrated plastics and paper manufacturer with headquarters in Livingston, New Jersey. It has more than 10,000 employees and operates more than 100 facilities worldwide, including a flagship manufacturing complex in Lolita, Texas.
